Construction 102 in Canada is a collaborative initiative between the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) and their partner construction associations across Canada.
Construction 102 in Canada supplements the essential two-day Construction 101 in Canada course. Designed for those working in a construction office, consulting office, project owner/developer office, on-site field office or providing support services in both the construction and design sectors who may be new or recently introduced to industrial, commercial, institutional and civil construction (ICI+C) in Canada.
Building on Construction 101 in Canada, Construction 102 introduces the attendee to a deeper understanding of two critical and fundamental themes and industry best practices.
A third theme is presented to attendees to discuss and contemplate current trends, future trends and tools available and deployed today in the Canadian construction industry; specifically, the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.

Individuals working in or moving into management, coordination, administration, or consulting roles within the ICI and Civil construction industry.
This is not a construction industry trades-focused course. It’s designed for those who administer, support, and contribute to the construction process and want to understand the full picture of how all the stakeholders, processes, and decisions come together to build an ICI+C project.
Prerequisites: Construction 101 and Beyond or Construction 101 in Canada
Duration: 1 day (6.5 hours)
Format: In-person
Location: This course will take place at the Edmonton Construction Association Learning Centre. A continental breakfast, as well as snacks, lunch, and refreshments, will be provided.
Parking: Parking is free at the Edmonton Construction Association Learning Centre. A parking map will be provided after course registration.

Phil Perry of Perry Educational Services Ltd has 30 plus years in the Construction Industry, most of which was Project Managing Industrial Projects for General Contractors. He has been teaching Post-Secondary Construction Management Courses for the last ten years for organizations such as the Edmonton Construction Association, Calgary Construction Association, Winnipeg Construction Association, Ontario Roadbuilders Association, University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He has been facilitating Better Super Vision programs since 2009. In his spare time, Phil is a Master Course Facilitator for a National Sports Organization and chaired their National Coaching/Instructional Program for four years. He was the recipient of the 2018 IG Wealth Management Community National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Coach Developer.
