A Detailed Review of Production Planning & Practical Strategies for Overcoming Common Implementation Challenges

The Last Planner® System is a lean production planning system designed to produce predictable workflow and continuous improvement in construction.  The system leads to better projects delivered in less time at a lower cost – but why is implementation so hard?

We will discuss why productivity in construction struggles to improve so we understand the problem that Last Planner System is designed to solve and take you through a pull planning exercise to drive home the concepts of the Last Planner® System. This course will also provide you with strategies to deal with difficult behaviors in planning meetings and show you how to create the culture necessary to support Lean and make it successful in your business and on your project site.

AGC of America recognizes the Last Planner System:  How To Achieve True Success Webinar as qualifying for continuing education hours towards the renewal of AGC’s Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean). Each hour of educational content is equal to 1 hour of CE credit. Attendees may earn up to 6 hours of CE Credit by attending the Introduction to Last Planner System:  How To Achieve True Success Webinar.



CM-Lean holders will earn 7.0 CE Credits | AGC of America recognizes ‘Last Planner® System: Why it Works and How to Ensure Success’ as qualifying for continuing education hours towards the renewal of AGC’s Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean). Each hour of educational content is equal to 1 hour of CE credit. Attendees may earn up to 7.0 hours of CE Credit by attending the entire workshop.

All members of a construction project team, including Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Management, Designers & Architects, Engineers & Consultants, and Owners.

This course is delivered in partnership between your local construction association and other associations throughout Western Canada. You’ll be participating in a cohort with industry peers from across these regions.
