INTRODUCTION:

In today’s business climate, individuals equipped with formal project management training stand out as invaluable assets within an organization.  DESCRIPTION:

An an interactive, one-day journey that acquaints participants with the 5-step Project Management Approach: Define, Plan, Execute, Control, and Close. Through a dynamic blend of instruction, hands-on exercises, and group work, participants will gain practical experience in utilizing essential project management tools and techniques—tools applicable immediately to their real-life projects.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE:

Define/Initiate the Project: Draft a comprehensive project charter, encompassing project success criteria.

Develop an Implementation Plan: Craft a roadmap for the project, outlining key implementation steps.

Project Execution: Implement the project management plan with precision.

Monitor and Control the Project: Establish an overarching change control mechanism for effective monitoring and control.

Close the Project: Conclude the project, close contracts, and finalize team relationships. Extract lessons learned for future project enhancements.

OBJECTIVES:

  • By the workshop's conclusion, participants will possess the skills to:
  • Write a comprehensive project charter.
  • Develop a project management plan, inclusive of subsidiary plans.
  • Formulate a clear and concise project scope statement.
  • Construct a four-level work breakdown structure.
  • Execute and control project activities effectively.
  • Successfully close out a project.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLBOX

The culmination of the workshop includes the creation of a Project Management Toolbox, housing checklists, forms, and schedules empowering participants to plan and execute any project, irrespective of its type, size, or complexity.

COURSE DELIVERY APPROACH

  • This One-day course is delivered on-line instructor-Led, live on zoom.
  • The sessions are interactive, participants’ contributions are expected and welcomed.
  • The day is divided into Sections, varies between an hour to two hours
  • Each session includes lecturing c/w examples, learning activities and group discussions.
  • Be prepared to share your opinion to enhance common understanding.
  • There is a 10-minute break every hour.

 DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Course start at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM with one hour lunch break

 COMPUTER SYSTEM NEEDED

  • Desktop/laptop is required. Dual monitors are recommended. No phones please.
  • A microphone, speaker, and webcam are required.
  • Be prepared to share your camera to enhance communication and understanding.
  • High speed internet connection is recommended.
  • Familiarity with google documents and sheets are recommended.

 Designed for both new and intermediate project managers, project team members, site and field personnel, and supervisors, this workshop is beneficial for anyone aspiring to transition into a project management role.
