Training Overview 

The Incident Response and Investigation for Worksite Leaders training program, designed by expert safety professionals at Pertium Safety, provides essential skills for conducting thorough incident investigations and is aimed at identifying root causes and preventing recurrences. This training empowers participants to manage incidents effectively, improve workplace safety, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Respectful Classroom Conduct 

Engage with attendees and educators in a respectful, professional manner. 

Turn phones and devices to silent or do not disturb. 

Note taking is encouraged, but audio and video recording is prohibited without prior permission from the course instructor. 

Ensure punctual return after breaks to prevent disrupting the learning environment.

 Learning Objectives 

• Equip participants with the knowledge to conduct basic incident investigations. 

• Encourage open reporting of all incidents and near misses. 

• Guide leaders in securing incident scenes and gathering factual information. 

• Identify effective corrective actions to mitigate future risks. 

• Apply root-cause analysis to move past symptoms to system failures. 

• Conduct first-account witness interviews without contaminating the evidence.  

Knowledge Retention 

Within the Student Workbook, there are a series of activities. Each relates to course content, and your instructor will guide participants on when to begin each segment. Student Workbook activities are meant as a learning aid and will not be marked for course credit. 

At the end of this training program, participants will be given a knowledge retention test. Participants must attend the entire training session and receive 80% on the knowledge retention test to receive credit for this course.
